Merdeka Square Kuala Lumpur

Just within walking distance to an area that history was made when Malaya declared its independence, this area had witnessed the British’s Union Jack flag was lowered down and replaced by Malaysian’s on 31st August 1957. The field in front of Merdeka Square was officially named as Dataran Merdeka on 1st January in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 1990. Historical buildings surround the Merdeka Square.

National Mosque (Masjid Negara)

Masjid Negara is Malaysia‚Äôs national legacy. Built between 1963 and 1965, the idea to build a national mosque to commemorate Malaysia’s independence was brought up by the Federal Executive Council a month before the country celebrated its independence. The 73m-high minaret is easily the mosque’s most distinguishable feature and a prominent feature of the KL skyline. Also impressive are the beautiful outdoor gardens with white marble pools and fountains.

Central Market

Central Market Kuala Lumpur is today a major attraction for both tourists and Malaysians alike that it’s strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, a few minutes away from Pacific Express Hotel Central Market, Central Market is a famous landmark for Malaysian culture and heritage which was built in 1888 and originally functioned as a wet market. It has since been classified as a Heritage Site. You can enjoy rich cultural experiences at the riverside amphitheatre outside.
